Global image settings for all albums

Hi,

Is there a way to set the global image size, thumbnail row amount and margin?

I want to create a gallery where someone can add album and not have to worry about styling. the only optiones they would really need woul be to enter gallery name, description and which images are in it.

The less things they have to think about the better and the less than can go wrong with design and layout.

Usually this is setup in each gallery itself. You mean you might want to setup default size values in the ARCHIVE level, so that when a user creates a gallery, they don't have to enter all the values, e.g. it will be take from the archive settings..?

Yes, that's exactly what i mean. I would like to make it as simple as possible for somone to add a new album once the module is set up.

By setting this up at archive level and then hiding it from an admin/editor (not administrator) user group the deisgn of the site and gallery section will stay consistant.

The editors really can't be bothered with image sizes...
That would be a great thing!

I'm still searching for the real solution, right know i wrote a little workaround in my frontend-file that checks the image size and in case it's not set it resizes the output-image..

A "real" solution would be nice, though

You can control the poster and gallery image sizes in the gallery as well as in the module (list/page-linked list/reader/single) where you can override the gallery's variables (if nothing is specified in the module, the gallery's value is used).
